I really enjoy the Waves NX and Sonarworks headphone plugin in my DAW.I spent all of yesterday afternoon trying different ways to get the Spotify audio to play into the DAW so I could listen to it using these VSTs so it will sound much better on headphones.Tried the LoopBeAudio and ASIO4ALL method. In Reaper I set the ASIO4ALL inputs to the LoopBeAudio and the the ASIO4ALL outputs to my DacPort Pro. Setting the default playback to LoopBeAudio internal playback means that the Spotify audio goes through the LoopBeAudio.Whilst in Spotify, I got the "Song unavailable" error after clicking on a song to play it. When I close Reaper, Spotify plays to the LoopBeAudio just fine.I'm still scratching my head. Why would this happen? Are there any alternatives. I did try Fidelify, but uninstalled it in disgust because it would not load practically any VST or at least would show an error when trying to display the VST interface (to change the VST settings etc). All I want to do is listen to Spotify through Waves NX and Sonarworks for better headphone experienceHELP! Which, in turn, would be audible as static sounds. It would also be a good practice to hold the mic one to three inches (2.5 to 7.6 centimeters) away from your mouth when you record your voice or when you talk or sing. The more space between your mouth and the mic, the higher the chances that your mic will pick up distorted sound present in the air. As such, try moving the mic closer to your mouth and see if the static noise is gone. Using a pop filter would also help eliminate hissing sounds, which would be too audible when you’re close to the mic.Using a microphone shock mount will also protect your mic from shocks, vibration, and other background or handling noise. Check out my guide to the Best Boom Arms. Audio Programs and Software UsedRunning the right programs on your computer while you are recording your voice will also help eliminate the static noise generated by your microphone. This video talks about using ASIO4ALL, Reaper Plugs VST, and Minihost Modular, in tandem with Voicemeeter, for clear, crisp voice and without the white noise:The static noise may also have something to do with a faulty setting in the audio recording software application that you are using. The possible problems, however, vary widely, so you will have to go through them, or seek the help of someone who is an expert in that software. For instance, it could be a compatibility issue in your sound settings, so you may. Your audio interface works without any latency issues. This is usually under the “Downloads” page of the website, and make sure you get the most recent driver available. Not having the proper drivers can result in malfunctions with your interface. If you use PC: You will want to download ASIO4ALL. You can get this audio driver program right HERE. This will be important when you are setting up your audio. You can get away with using your computer’s sound card in most cases, but ASIO is a powerful tool that will ensure you have the best recording experience available for PC.If you use MAC: Apple has its own settings for audio drivers, so you will not need any other programs. You still need to update your drivers for your interface. But Mac products have their own sound output, and it is very powerful, so there is no need for something like ASIO if you use a Mac.REAPER DAW: Audio Path SetupThis is where things can get tricky, but don’t freak out on me yet! This initial boot time may take a while, but it will boot up much faster after setup. This tutorial is done using REAPER 5. But no matter what version of the REAPER DAW you have, the setup should be basically the same, future or past versions.Step 1: You want to have your audio interface USB plugged up when you boot up REAPER DAW for the first time. REAPER will then recognize the device automatically. Again, make sure that you have updated all of the drivers for your interface! The drivers are critical to your REAPER setup working properly.
