(WBKO) - One Kentucky man had his dreams come true after winning millions from a Kentucky Lottery Scratch-off ticket.The Radcliffe native, who wishes to remain anonymous purchased the $30 Break Fort Knox ticket at a Kroger in Elizabethtown on Dec. 1. According to the release, he used $40 he had just won previously on a $2,000,000 Diamond Dazzler Scratch-off. He told lottery officials he chose the Break Fort Knox game because it had larger prizes.“I thought I’d give it a shot,” he said in a release. “Never did I dream this would happen!” He was at the grocery store when he scratched the ticket and on the fourth row, he matched the number 17.“I started scratching off the amount and saw the skinny dollar sign and the three and I about passed out,” he said in a release. “I had to do a double take, triple take. I pulled up the app and scanned it. It said, ‘Congratulations, you won $3,000,000, claim at KLC.’ That’s when it got real!”After winning, he took the ticket home signed it, and put it in a safe place.Per the release, he brought the winning ticket to lottery headquarters the following day and chose the game’s lump sum cash payment of $2,244,000.He received $1,615,680 after taxes. He got a check for $72,000 after taxes.The winner, a teacher and sports coach, said he wants to use the money to invest in the people in his life. “I want to give back,” he said. “As a teacher, I feel like I don’t deserve this.
